090/365
Three months! 90 days!
Wanted to do another low-light shot. This is the huge Liberty Mutual complex in Dover, NH shot from 6th street. I love the stone wall in the foreground. It was just starting to sprinkle when I shot this but I guess we're in for snow overnight.

Exit 8E
089/365
My first highway light-trails shot of the Spaulding Turnpike at Exit 8E which is one of the Dover, NH exits.

Around the Bend
088/365
Just a shot from Central, Ave down the railroad tracks toward the East.

Barn Revisit
087/365
The afternoon light was so nice I knew I wanted to come back and shoot this barn. A lot of the structure was in the shadow of some big trees so I decided to go with this view but you can still see the big shadows at the right.

Olivia's Sunpatch
086/365
Olivia in a sunpatch from the bedroom window. She has such long (and unruly) whiskers!
Freight Train
085/365
I was walking on a section of the new Dover community trail - the part that bridges the Cocheco river - and the freight train just happened to be coming through.

Boots
084/365
I walk by this pair of boots everyday and I've been waiting for interesting light. Today was the day. The contrast between the overcast sky and the sunlit wall works nicely to add more interest to the shot than just a pair of dangling boots.

Coolers
082/365
I don't know exactly what these are but I think they are coolers for the power plant in Newington. I'm quite sure that is all water vapor coming out the top.

Un café
081/365
Shamelessly stole the idea of a coffee shot from one of my flickr contacts but my execution is different. As I'd accidentally bought some decaf k-cups I had no problem wasting a cup of coffee for the shot :)

Onion
080/365
I always like the tangled roots on onions. My camera doesn't have a great macro focusing distance but I like how this shot came out.

Compressed
079/365
The less picturesque side of Portsmouth? A ratty old seagull, an overburdened telephone pole and the crooked rooftops of old brick buildings. There are 3 streets worth of roofs in this, culminating in the government building. The perspective is compressed due to being nearly fully zoomed.

Durham Falls
078/365
The falls on Rt 108 heading toward Newmarket. I'm sure there was a sign with the official name but I didn't think to look. Taken using the bridge railing for support due to the slow-ish shutter.

Colorful Clapboards
077/365
Three old houses in Portsmouth painted in distinctive colors. This area has a specific name but I forget what it is.
Still sick, but well enough to have gone to work and the chiropractor. Took this on the way back.

60 Degrees
076/365
Sick: Day Four. Took this while walking back from the pharmacy for nasal spray. This might be the first day it has be 60 degrees at 6pm since last year.
Fabric Landscape
075/365
Sick: Day Three. In my fevered mind this looks like a hill, blue sky, and a ray of sunshine.

Regimen
074/365
Sick: Day Two. Went to doctor and was put on antibiotics for strep.

Sick: Day One
073/365
This is where I spent most of the day yesterday. I thought I felt bad then, but its nothing compared to how I feel after a night of splitting headache and zero sleep.

Plenty of Salt
072/365
This photo brought to you by daylight savings. This is the salt pile in Portsmouth, NH as shot from the docks of the Thomas Leighton. Looks like we've got plenty left.
Bonfire
071/365
I attended the annual bonfire of friends in Durham, NH last night. This was probably the largest pile of brush they've ever lit. That sapling you see bent over right in front of the flame was around 8 feet tall when straight and probably still 5 to 6 at the time of the photo.

Portrait with Hands
070/365
This wasn't my original idea but it is the same vein. I wanted to do something like a double exposure using a slow shutter speed and moving during the exposure. Some people will probably find this creepy but I like it.

Red Cart
069/365
Why would someone throw a shopping cart off the bridge and onto the ice? I cannot say but I do like the contrast between the red and the ice.

Hidden Message
068/365
I had a creative writing teacher who was loathe to tell you how to spell something but this one phrase for spelling a word has stuck with me for years. Can you find it?

Ice Covered Tree
067/365
This ice covered tree is right beside the Cocheco River falls in downtown Dover (which you can see rushing by in the background)

Colorful Clips Revisit
065/365
I got a set of assorted color straws when I bought the clips and decided today that they would work nicely together. Shot this on my refrigerator because the clips have magnets on back. I shot this with the straws pointing down and then rotated in Aperture as I think it has more interest this way.

Typo
064/365
I had the idea to base a photograph on a typo and soap/soup is an easy typo to make. So I decided to photograph a bowl of soap in a food photography style (with limited depth of field and the focal point at some portion of the food being shot). I've added shampoo, a toothbrush, and a towel as props.

Olivia Profile
063/365
This may or may not be Cat Day 2011 so I figured I'd play it safe by taking a photo of Olivia today. Here she is engrossed in one of her favorite activities: watching the exciting reality program we call a window.

Knife Edge
062/365
I've had an idea for a knife edge shot for a while but this was the first time I've tried it. What I really wanted to do was have the camera looking down on it very close but the tripod put it too far away so this isn't really the effect I wanted.

Prescott Park Pier
061/365
This probably has an official name but I don't know it. I took this just after a snow squall. Aside from a slight crop this is SOOC.

Colorful Clips
060/365
When I saw these clips I knew I had to get them. I needed some clips for the kitchen anyway and these have magnets on the back so they can brighten up the refrigerator too.
