181/365
Breaking the rules here: shooting into the sun. It was partially behind a cloud though.
This is my last Project 365 photo. Lately I've been finding it more of a chore than a hobby. Since I'm at the halfway point I figured this was a good time to stop.
I will still carry my camera with me at all times, still shoot, and still post to flickr. I'm just not going to worry about having a photo every day. If nothing more getting in the habit of carrying your camera everywhere is a great outcome for this project. Best of luck to all those continuing!

Into the Sun
Olivia Attentive
179/365
Olivia sitting on the back of the couch near the window and lit only by window light (thus the ISO 800 and resultant noise).
Cocheco Falls
178/365
The Cocheco Falls in Dover, NH in the late afternoon as I left work.

Karen
173/365
Anyone who has followed my Project 365 knows I don't usually photograph people so this is sort of a rare photo for me. It is slightly soft but considering it is 2.5 seconds I think it is decent.

Martini
171/365
This is a saketini which is made with vodka and sake. Not a really enjoyable drink but I like the way it looks here.
Ringer
170/365
For Father's Day the second annual Father's Day Olympics took place at my family camp. The events were designed by my nephew. One of them was to throw 6 horseshoes and try to get a ringer.
Camp
169/365
This is the living room of my aunt's camp. We stayed for the night while visiting my family at their camp (they were short a bed and my aunt generously put us up for the night).
Avenue Q
168/365
We went to see Avenue Q at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit, ME. This is the set as seen from our seats just before the show started. It was hilarious and as you can see we had great seats!

Colonial Glass Blower
165/365
I recently visited a glass blowing studio in VT (the two glasses in the background were made there). My parents were out antiquing and found this figurine. Shot on white poster paper with window light and overhead incandescent.
Jewelry Window
164/365
The side window display at a local jeweler in Dover, NH taken at night from the sidewalk outside.
Quiet Morning
163/365
It was overcast or drizzle the entire weekend at the family camp. There was a good deal of 'sea smoke' coming off the water. Even though it is a highly populated lake I like that this photo makes it seem otherwise.
Diaphanous Wings
162/365
There were a number of this type of dragonfly at the family camp this weekend. None of us had ever seen one that looked like this before. Shooting macros with the S95 isn't easy but I'm quite happy with this one.
The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side
161/365
Saw this discarded mirror on the way to work and it made me think of the Agatha Christie novel.

Gathering Storm
160/365
A huge line of thunderstorms came through Dover, NH yesterday. I took this photo across the Cochecho from the river walk path. The wind was whipping the trees around as you can see in this 1 second exposure.
Office Lamp
159/365
The lamp in the corner of my office. I like the way the light and shadows mirrow the lines of the walls and ceiling.

Queen of the Castle
158/365
Olivia holding court in the living room.

Abstract
157/365
What happens when I am running low on time and even lower on enthusiasm... a photo of the inside of my dryer.
Toy Camera Building
156/365
I liked the way these wires were crossed in front of this brick building in Portsmouth. Toy Camera made it more interesting.
Chandelier
155/365
One of the amazing works of art by Dale Chihuly on display at the MFA in Boston, MA.

Bottle Caps
151/365
Beer bottle caps to be more precise. I like the range of colors and designs of micro-brew caps. That plain one in the lower right is from a bottle of Rye Not brewed at The Portsmouth Brewery.

Three Bridges
150/365
The three bridges that connect Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME across the Piscataqua River. Nearest (and up for boat traffic) is Memorial Bridge. Behind that (also a lift bridge) is Sarah Mildred Long Bridge, and behind that (the cantilevered arch) is the Piscataqua River Bridge which carries Rt 95 over the river.
Rack 'em
149/365
After an extremely fun Sunday we headed to TGI Fridays for dinner and this is a portion of one of their cool wall displays.

Peeling Paint
148/365
Peeling paint on the door of a derelict building in Portsmouth near South Mill Pond.

Two Toothbrushes
147/365
Time got away from me yesterday and we'd finished watching a movie before I realized I hadn't taken a photo. I'd been thinking about the two toothbrushes as a possibility so here they are.
Rocking Chair Porch
146/365
I walk by this porch most days on my way to work and I've taken a few shots of these nice-looking rocking chairs. On this day the light seemed particularly good. Just need a glass of iced tea ad a friend to sit a spell with.

Nickel
145/365
Although the high shutter speed doesn't convey it this nickel was spinning at the time it was captured. My kitchen is not level. Nor is my table as a result so it was a challenge to get something in focus.
Waterdrops
144/365
A macro shot of waterdrops on the window page. The screen is behind that and a large fir tree makes up much of the background. We've had a lot of rain lately.

Logan Green Tint
142/365
A view of Logan International Airport in Boston, MA from the parking garage through the green tint panels used in the stairwells.

Communication
141/365
Long exposure (13s) of me typing on my iMac. It is interesting that the keypresses must be so fast that it looks like my fingers are just moving above the keyboard. I was using a neutral density filter with the new attachment I put on my Canon S95 today to allow me to use filters.
Carswell Auto Parts
140/365
This local auto parts store somehow manages to survive in downtown Dover. How much longer will it be here? When I walk by in the mornings there are usually a couple of older men sitting on stools in the front just talking.

Shark Bait
139/365
There are a number of cool grafitti-style paintints throughout Portsmouth right now. It is related to Prescott Park and the Portsmouth Museum of Art (who knew?) somehow. This big shark is down by the riverfront.

Old Bridge with Cranes
138/365
There is a project to widen the General Sullivan Bridge which connects Dover, NH to Newington, NH over Great Bay. This is an even older bridge that is beside the project and is open to pedestrians. The weather was 50 degrees and foggy with a light mist. I thought it would be good conditions to shoot the cranes.

Along the River
137/365
Everything is in bloom in Dover despite the cool temps and constant gloom. I like the way the petals from the flowers on the tree are dusting the shrubs below.

Plastic Stress
136/365
This is a photo of a plastic pitcher sitting in front of my iMac and using my polarized sunglasses in front of the camera. The combination shows the stress patterns in the plastic of the pitcher.

Rice Paper Lantern
135/365
I've been trying to get a shot of this rice paper lantern since I bought it but haven't been that happy with the results. I mainly selected this shot because the thumbnail looks a bit like an eye.
Portsmouth Homes
134/365
I was in Portsmouth yesterday to meet a friend for dinner and was a bit early. This was one of the few shots I got before the battery in my camera died. Perspective as been corrected in PTLens, though it didn't require much as I was fairly far back.

Stairwell
133/365
The stairwell at Logan International Airport's Central Parking. All the windows are dramatically tinted in greenish, red, and blue tones.

Art Glass
132/365
This is a hand-blown high-ball glass that I bought this past weekend in Vermont. I placed a candle inside to light through the colored swirl pattern.
